Candidate List, Sample Ballots, and One Stop Schedule Announced for the July 9th, 2019 Special Congressional Republican Second Primary

    Second Primary Election Candidates

    No one candidate received 30% of the votes cast during the April 30th, 2019 Republican Special Congressional Primary so the candidates have been narrowed to the top two and will be voted on July 9th, 2019. Second Primaries are also referred to as a “Runoff Election”.

    Eligibility

    Republican Voters, Unaffiliated who chose a Republican Ballot on April 30th, and Unaffiliated Voters who did not vote on April 30th are eligible to vote in this election.

    Democrats, Libertarians, Green, Constitution, and Unaffiliated Voters who voted a Democrat ballot on April 30th are not eligible to vote in this election.

    One Stop Voting

    The Beaufort County Board of Elections met on March 12th and approved the following schedule for One Stop Absentee Voting for the July 9th, 2019 Special Congressional Republican Second Primary Election:

    June 19th (Wed) through June 21st (Fri) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

    June 24th (Mon) through June 28th (Fri) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

    July 1st (Mon) through July 5th (Fri) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

    The office will be closed Thursday, July 4th.  Please be aware, that a recent law change ends the one stop period on the Friday prior to the election. The Board of Elections will not be open for voting on Saturday July 6th.

    Mail Absentee Voting

Click on the following link to search for your current voter information and view your sample ballot for the July 9th, 2019 Special Congressional Republican Second Primary Election.  Once you access your voter information, scroll down to "sample ballot". Click on the blue link for your sample ballot. Unaffiliated voters will be able to view all ballot styles available to them. Remember, unaffiliated voters can choose one party for the primary, not multiple parties.
