Last week of ONE STOP absentee voting

The Beaufort County Board of Elections will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm this week (October 29th - November 2) for One Stop Absentee Voting. Our office will also be open from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 3rd which will be the last opportunity that voters will have to vote One Stop. Aurora and Belhaven satellite sites will be open on Tuesday October 30th from *;00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturday November 3rd form 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Missed the voter registration deadline for the 2012 General Election? If so, you may still vote if you do a "Same-day Registration" during the One-stop absentee voting period.

Missed the voter registration deadline for the 2012 General Election? If so, you may still vote if you do a "Same-day Registration" during the One-stop absentee voting period (October 18 - November 3, 2012). During One-stop, persons may register to vote and vote if they complete a voter registration application and show proof of residence in the county in which they reside. Straight-Party Voting Explained

In order to ensure that all voters receive the information about President/Vice President being voted separately from all other offices, our office has been directed to reproduce the message below and distribute to all voters at the time of:

  • Issuance of absentee ballot by mail

  • Issuance of one-stop absentee ballot

  • Issuance of ballot on election day.

 This measure is in addition to the verbal instructions the one-stop/poll workers are to provide.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR BECOMING A PRECINCT OFFICIAL

  • Must be a registered voter

  • Must be a resident of the county in which the precinct is located
