UOCAVA Election Notice for 2013 Municipal Elections in Beaufort County, NC is now available on our Website
The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act or “UOCAVA” requires states to allow certain voters who are absent from their county of residence to have special rights that provide an expedited means for them to register and vote by mail-in absentee ballot. In order to qualify under the provisions of UOCAVA in this state, a voter must be a legal resident of North Carolina. Citizens covered by UOCAVA include:

Last week of ONE STOP absentee voting
The Beaufort County Board of Elections will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm this week (October 29th - November 2) for One Stop Absentee Voting. Our office will also be open from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 3rd which will be the last opportunity that voters will have to vote One Stop. Aurora and Belhaven satellite sites will be open on Tuesday October 30th from *;00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturday November 3rd form 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Missed the voter registration deadline for the 2012 General Election? If so, you may still vote if you do a "Same-day Registration" during the One-stop absentee voting period.
Missed the voter registration deadline for the 2012 General Election? If so, you may still vote if you do a "Same-day Registration" during the One-stop absentee voting period (October 18 - November 3, 2012). During One-stop, persons may register to vote and vote if they complete a voter registration application and show proof of residence in the county in which they reside. One Stop Voting begins TODAY!
One-stop absentee voting (Early Voting) begins today (October 18, 2012) and will end on Saturday, November 3, 2012. One Stop Voting will be conducted at the following sites:
