One Stop Voting Begins Thursday, April 24th, 2014 for the May 6th, 2014 Primary Elections. One Stop hours are as follows:

Board of Elections Office Hours are Mon – Sat April 24^th – May 2^rd, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm,  and Sat. May 3^th 8 am to 1:00 pm.

Satellite Sites are open only on Tuesday April 29th and operate from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in Aurora, Belhaven and Chocowinity.

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act or “UOCAVA” requires states to allow certain voters who are absent from their county of residence to have special rights that provide an expedited means for them to register and vote by mail-in absentee ballot. Candidate Steve Carawan has requested a recount of the East End Alderman seat in the Town of Belhaven. The recount will occur on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 immediately following the Canvass Meeting which begins at 11:00 am. The recount should begin approximately at 11:30.
