Our One Stop Absentee Voting and Same Day Registration Period ends tomorrow at 1:00 PM. The Beaufort County Board of Elections will be open today until 5:00 pm and will operate tomorrow (Saturday, May 5th) from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Voters who do not vote during our One Stop period will be able to cast ballots at their PRECINCT on Tuesday, May 8th from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM.

Campaign Finance Reports for Beaufort County Candidates are now being posted online. Reports are posted on a daily basis. Priority has been given to uploading reports for Candidates who are filing over the $1,000 threshold. All reports should be available within 48 hours.

The Constitutional Amendments Publication Commission has approved language for an official explanation of the proposed amendment that can be provided to voters to assist them in understanding the amendment. The Commission has only three members including Secretary of State Marshall, North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper and the General Assembly’s Legislative Services Officer George Hall. Concerns about the official explanation should be directed to the Commission and not to the State Board of Elections or a county board of elections.
