UOCAVA Election Notice for the July 9th, 2019 Republican Special Congressional Primary Election in Beaufort County, NC is now available on our Website

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act or “UOCAVA” requires states to allow certain voters who are absent from their county of residence to have special rights that provide an expedited means for them to register and vote by mail-in absentee ballot. In order to qualify under the provisions of UOCAVA in this state, a voter must be a legal resident of North Carolina. Citizens covered by UOCAVA include:

Second Primary Election Candidates

No one candidate received 30% of the votes cast during the April 30th, 2019 Republican Special Congressional Primary so the candidates have been narrowed to the top two and will be voted on July 9th, 2019. Second Primaries are also referred to as a “Runoff Election”.

Regular monthly meeting postponed to Friday, May 10th at 11:00 am

The regular monthly meeting of the Beaufort County Board of Elections scheduled for May 7th  is postponed to Friday, May 10th at 11:00 am. Regular business will be addressed after the required canvass meeting on the 10th. The meeting will be held at the Beaufort County Board of Elections Office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite 104, Washington, NC 27889.

Absentee Data Available for the April 30th, 2019 Congressional Primary Election

Absentee Data is now available for the April 30th, 2019 Primary Election. Data files will be labeled and include data for the date specified in the file’s title. One Stop, Civilian, Military, and Overseas Absentee Voters are included. Absentee Voter Lists are not cumulative and only contain data from the specified date.
