The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act or “UOCAVA” requires states to allow certain voters who are absent from their county of residence to have special rights that provide an expedited means for them to register and vote by mail-in absentee ballot. In order to qualify under the provisions of UOCAVA in this state, a voter must be a legal resident of North Carolina.
The first batch of Beaufort County Absentee Ballots are being sent out today! 2,086 registered voters have requested an absentee so far. If you need to apply for a mailed ballot, go to the North Carolina Absentee Portal by clicking HERE. You will also be able to track your ballot this year!
Voter specific sample ballots are now available online. Click on the following link to search for your current voter information and view your sample ballot for the November 3rd, 2020 Presidential Election. Once you access your voter information, click on "sample ballot". Click on the blue link for your sample ballot. The sample below shows a G002 ballot style.
