One Stop Hours for the May 8th, 2018 Primary Election announced

The following are hours voters may use our One Stop Absentee Option for the May 8th, 2018 Primary Election:

Saturday, May 5th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

 

UOCAVA Election Notice for the May 8th, 2018 Primary Election in Beaufort County, NC is now available on our Website

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act or “UOCAVA” requires states to allow certain voters who are absent from their county of residence to have special rights that provide an expedited means for them to register and vote by mail-in absentee ballot. In order to qualify under the provisions of UOCAVA in this state, a voter must be a legal resident of North Carolina. Citizens covered by UOCAVA include:

Candidate Filing for the 2018 Elections ENDS on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 at 12:00 noon

2018 CANDIDATE FILING DATES

Filing Starts – Monday, February 12th, 2018 at 12:00 Noon

Filing Ends – Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 at 12:00 Noon

All filing fees must be made in the form of cash or personal check.  Filing Fees above $50 must be made in the form of a check and cannot be paid by a check from a business. Filing Fees can be seen by downloading the “2018 Filing Fees” file at the bottom of the page.

One Stop Voting Ends at 1:00 PM on November 4th, 2017 for the 2017 Municipal Elections

Saturday, November 4th is the last day for voters to utilize the One Stop Voting Options for the November 7th, 2017 Municipal Elections. Voting ends at 1:00 pm.

Persons wishing to vote will need to do so on Tuesday, November 7th, 2017 at their normal voting place/precinct.  The Board of Elections Office is NOT a voting place on Election Day. Same day registration is not allowed on Election Day.
