Beaufort County Board of Elections will close at 4 pm on Thursday, February 20th due to Inclement Weather

At the Board of Elections emergency meeting called at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 20th, 2020, the Beaufort County Board of Elections unanimously agreed to close the Beaufort County Board of Elections for all business including One Stop Voting at 4 pm on Thursday, February 20th, 2020 due to inclement weather.

Please be advised, Beaufort County Government is closing today, Thursday, February 20th at 4:00 pm due to inclement weather and is anticipating a delay on Friday, February 21st. The Beaufort County Board of Elections will have an emergency meeting today at 3 pm to consider altering the One Stop Plan for the March 3rd, 2020 Presidential Primary Election.

Today is the last day to register to vote on March 3rd and last day to change parties.

The regular voter registration deadline for the March 3, 2020, primary election is February 7, 25 days before the election. February 7th is also the deadline for registered voters to change parties.

Eligible individuals who miss the registration deadline may still register and vote at the same time during the one-stop early voting period -- February 13-29. This does not apply to already registered voters wishing to change parties.
