Absentee Data Available for the March 15th, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary Elections

Absentee Data is now available for the March 15th, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary Elections. Data files will be labeled and include data for the date specified in the file’s title. One Stop, Civilian, Military, and Overseas Absentee Voters are included. One Stop files are not cumulative and only contain data from the specified date.

Daily updates will be posted within 24 hours of the close of business for the specified day.

Same Day Registration Allowed for the March 15th, 2016 One Stop Period (March 3 – March 12)

Eligible individuals may register and vote during the one-stop early voting period.  This “same-day registration” process is currently permitted due to a preliminary injunction granted under a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, but this option remains the subject of ongoing litigation in federal court.  Please check back at this website for updates.  Click here to check your voter registration status.

One Stop Voting Begins Thursday, March 3rd, 2016 for the March 15th, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary Elections.

Polling Place Changes for the Edward and North Creek Precincts take effect for the March 15th, 2016 Primary Elections

Polling Place locations have been changed by the Beaufort County Board of Elections for the Edward and North Creek Precincts and take effect for the March 15th, 2016.

The North Creek polling place has changed from the Winsteadville Community Center to the Bethany United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 2766 South Savannah Road, Belhaven, North Carolina.

The Edward polling place has changed from the Edward Fire Department to the Edward Christian Church Fellowship Hall located at 23 South Academy Street, Edward, North Carolina.

Deadline for Registration and Party Changes is Friday, February 19th, 2016 for the March 15th, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary

The deadline for registration and party changes for the March 15th, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary is Friday, February 19th, 2016 by 5:00 pm. Voter registration applications must be received by the Board of Elections by this date. If an application is received after the deadline, the application may still be timely ifit was mailed and it is postmarked on or before the voter registration deadline; otherwise, the application will not be processed until after the election.
