The deadline for registration for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election is Friday, October 14th, 2016 by 5:00 pm. Voter registration applications must be received by the Board of Elections by this date. If an application is received after the deadline, the application may still be timely if it was mailed and it is postmarked on or before the voter registration deadline; otherwise, the application will not be processed until after the election.
Notice of Emergency Meeting to conduct Preliminary Hearings
The Beaufort County Board of Elections will meet at 5:00 pm on Friday, October 14th, 2016 at the Board of Election Office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite, 104, Washington, North Carolina. The Board is meeting in order to conduct preliminary hearings (NCGS 163-85(d)) concerning voter challenges submitted by Ricky Radcliffe (19), James Merritt (12), and Allen Rodgers (42). If probable cause exists, the Board will schedule full hearings.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections is requesting input from the public on proposed One Stop Plans for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election.
The Beaufort County Board of Elections is required to operate One Stop Voting for 195 hours during the one stop period prior to the election. Three proposed plans have been offered for public input. Summaries of those plans are as follows:
