The Beaufort County Board of Elections met on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 in order to conduct hearings for challenges filed by Shane Hubers, James Merritt, Ricky Radcliffe, and Alan Rogers.

Absentee Data Available for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election

Absentee Data is now available for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election. Data files will be labeled and include data for the date specified in the file’s title. One Stop, Civilian, Military, and Overseas Absentee Voters are included. One Stop files are not cumulative and only contain data from the specified date.

Daily updates will be posted within 24 hours of the close of business for the specified day.

Board of Elections to conduct voter challenge hearings on Monday, October 24th and Saturday, October 29th, 2016

At the preliminary hearings for challenges filed by Shane Hubers, James Merritt, Ricky Radcliffe, and Alan Rogers, the Beaufort County Board of Elections scheduled hearings for the following registered voters on the dates indicated for each voter (either Monday, October 24th at 5:00pm or Saturday, October 29th at 9:00 am) at the Board of Elections Office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite 104, Washington, NC:

Deadline for Voter Registration is Friday, October 14th for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election

The deadline for registration  for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election is Friday, October 14th, 2016 by 5:00 pm. Voter registration applications must be received by the Board of Elections by this date. If an application is received after the deadline, the application may still be timely if it was mailed and it is postmarked on or before the voter registration deadline; otherwise, the application will not be processed until after the election.

Notice of Emergency Meeting to conduct Preliminary Hearings

The Beaufort County Board of Elections will meet at 5:00 pm on Friday, October 14th, 2016 at the Board of Election Office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite, 104, Washington, North Carolina. The Board is meeting in order to conduct preliminary hearings (NCGS 163-85(d)) concerning  voter challenges submitted by Ricky Radcliffe (19), James Merritt (12), and Allen Rodgers (42). If probable cause exists, the Board will schedule full hearings.
