Notice of Emergency Meeting to conduct Preliminary Hearings

The Beaufort County Board of Elections will meet at 5:00 pm on Friday, October 14th, 2016 at the Board of Election Office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite, 104, Washington, North Carolina. The Board is meeting in order to conduct preliminary hearings (NCGS 163-85(d)) concerning  voter challenges submitted by Ricky Radcliffe (19), James Merritt (12), and Allen Rodgers (42). If probable cause exists, the Board will schedule full hearings.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections will hold a public meeting on Friday, October 7th, 2016 at 5:00 pm to conduct preliminary hearings on 29 voter challenges filed by Mr. Shane Hubers. If probable cause exists, the Board will schedule full hearings.

Absentee Requests Forms for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election are now being accepted. If you wish to have a ballot mailed to you for the November 8th Election, please fill out the following form and forward it to the Beaufort County Board of Elections, PO Box 1016, Washington, NC, 27889 or drop it by the office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite 104, Washington, NC 27889. November 8th, 2016 One Stop Absentee Voting Schedule Announced for Beaufort County, North Carolina

The following schedule has been approved by the Beaufort County Board of Elections and the North Carolina State Board of Elections for the purposes of One Stop Absentee Voting for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election.

UOCAVA Election Notice for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election in Beaufort County, NC is available on our Website

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act or “UOCAVA” requires states to allow certain voters who are absent from their county of residence to have special rights that provide an expedited means for them to register and vote by mail-in absentee ballot. DEADLINE REMINDER: Public Comment needed for proposed One Stop Plans for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election

The Beaufort County Board of Elections is requesting input from the public on proposed One Stop Plans for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections is required to operate One Stop Voting for 195 hours during the one stop period prior to the election. Three proposed plans have been offered for public input. Summaries of those plans are as follows:

Polls close at 7:30 pm Today for the June 7th, 2016 Primary Election

Polls will close at 7:30 pm today for the June 7th, 2016 Primary Elections. Voters will need to report to their precinct polling place in order to cast a ballot. Sample ballots can be downloaded below. To find out if you are registered and/or where your polling place is located, click HERE.
