UOCAVA Election Notice for the November 2nd, 2021 Municipal Elections in Beaufort County, NC is now available on our Website

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act or “UOCAVA” requires states to allow certain voters who are absent from their county of residence to have special rights that provide an expedited means for them to register and vote by mail-in absentee ballot. In order to qualify under the provisions of UOCAVA in this state, a voter must be a legal resident of North Carolina.

Emergency Meeting of the Beaufort County Board of Elections at 5 pm Today, Friday, July 16th, 2021 to consider a filing extension for the contest of Aurora Commissioner

The Beaufort County Board of Elections will have an emergency meeting at 5 pm today, July 16th, 2021 at the Beaufort County Board of Elections at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite 104, Washington, NC, 27889. GS 163-294.4 allows that if in a nonpartisan municipal election, when the filing period expires, candidates have not filed for all offices to be filled, the board of elections may extend the filing period for five days.

Simulated Election Test on Thursday, May 20th, 2012 beginning at 12:30 pm. Board Meeting at 5 pm.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections will a conduct a simulated election test of Election Systems and Software’s voting equipment system as required by N.C.G.S. 163-165.9(b)(3). The simulated election test will begin at 12:30 pm on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 at the Board of Elections Office. Simulated Elections can take between 2 to 4 hours to complete. The simulated election is open to the public and we welcome the public to observe the process.
