Candidate filing for the 2022 Elections has ended. A candidate list for Beaufort County can be downloaded from the link below.
Candidate filing for the 2022 primary will resume at 8 a.m. February 24 and end at noon March 4.
The Beaufort County Board of Elections' Office and all county offices will be closed on Friday, January 21st, 2022 due to forecasted severe winter weather.
The regular meeting scheduled for January 4th, 2022 for the Beaufort County Board of Elections has been cancelled. The next scheduled meeting will be on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 at 5:00 pm at the Board of Elections Office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite 104, Washington, NC 27889.
By order of the North Carolina Supreme Court, filing for all offices for the 2022 primary is suspended. The order can be downloaded at the link at the bottom of this article.
The March 8, 2022 primary has been moved to May 17, 2022.

Filing Ends – Friday, December 17th, 2021 at 12:00 Noon
All filing fees must be made in the form of cash or personal check. Filing Fees above $50 must be made in the form of a check and cannot be paid by a check from a business.
