The deadline for election day registration and party changes for the March 5th, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary is Friday, February 9th, 2024 by 5:00 pm. Voter registration applications must be received by the Board of Elections by this date. If an application is received after the deadline, the application may still be timely if it was mailed and it is postmarked on or before the voter registration deadline; otherwise, the application will not be processed until after the election.

 The Beaufort County Board of Elections announces the following schedule for Early Voting for the March 5th, 2024 Election:

The Board of Elections monthly meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 has been cancelled.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024 at 5:00 pm.

2024 CANDIDATE FILING DATES

Filing Starts – Monday, December 4th, 2023 at 12:00 Noon

Filing Ends – Friday, December 15th, 2023 at 12:00 Noon

All filing fees must be made in the form of cash or personal check.  Filing Fees above $50 must be made in the form of a check and cannot be paid by a check from a business.

Candidates who have received and/or spent more than $1,000 are required to disclose their campaign finance activity. The 2023 Pre-Election Campaign Reports were due October 30th, 2023. The report must include all contributions, expenditures, and loans received since the last report filed, through October 23rd, 2023.
